Smit Patel, PharmD is a life sciences and healthcare strategist operating at the intersection of AI, digital health, and commercialization. He is Principal of UpTheStack and previously served as Director of Digital Health and AI at the Digital Medicine Society (DiMe), where he led global initiatives and public-private partnerships advancing digital medicine.

His work includes building CancerX under the White House Cancer Moonshot; leading national digital front door strategy for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; partnering with Google Health to implement AI in clinical care; and advising top 25+ pharmaceutical companies on digital biomarker and business strategies across clinical development and commercialization.

Smit serves on advisory boards including Economist Impact, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), and teaches at Brown University. He is also a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, Forbes 30 Under 30 Scholar, TEDx speaker, and MIT-Harvard Health Innovation alumnus.
